Visit Harrogate

Harrogate is one of the top tourist destinations in the country and boasts a fine selection of shops and visitor attractions.

Snooty Frox is the number one choice for anything from mother of the bride to casualwear and gifts.

Harrogate is the place to shop

The beautiful Spa town of Harrogate is a must for the discerning shopper.  Harrogate originated in the 17th century, with High Harrogate and Low Harrogate as two separate settlements.   The first mineral spring in Harrogate was discovered in 1571 by William Slingsby, who found that water from the Tewit Well possessed similar properties to that from the springs of the Belgian town of Spa, which gave its name to spa towns.  The Harrogate Stray was created in 1778 by an act of Parliament and is a popular tourist destination, particularly in Spring when it is festooned with crocuses.

Snooty Frox is delighted to recommend:

Hotel du Vin & Bistro Harrogate

Located close to the centre of the spa town of Harrogate, the hotel overlooks The Stray, a 200-acre common, created in 1778 by an act of Parliament and containing many of Harrogate's famous mineral springs. Please let Hotel Du Vin know you are a customer of Snooty Frox of Harrogate at the time of the booking.
